The 10th Annual Leavenworth Wine Walk is June 2

The Leavenworth Wine Walk is a fundraising event for the Cascade Foothills Farmland Assn to promote Ag-Tourism in North Central Washington.

Cost is $35 pp/ $60 per couple which includes a souvenir wine glass, tasting of up to 60 different wines, Wine Walk Passport for prizes and discount coupons. Live music at the Gazebo and Unique Leavenworth Shopping included.

Beaumont Cellars Spring Release Party!

Beaumont Cellars is pleased to announce its Spring Wine Release event. This event, which includes tasting of six new wines, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and helicopter rides, will be held at the Beaumont Cellars Tasting Room and Crushpad on Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 1 PM to 5 PM. Reservations are required in advance.

6 wines will be available for tasting at the event:

  • 2011 Chardonay
  • 2010 Zinfandel
  • 2010 Petit Verdot
  • 2010 Babcock Ridge Red
  • 2010 Malbec
  • 2010 Syrah

Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Richard and Ashley Kitos of the IvyWild Inn and Catering — the same folks who served Dinner on the Crushpad last summer. Richard will prepare the following delicacies for the enjoyment of guests:

  • Savory pistachio shortbread crust filled with goat cheese and local honey
  • Pear and walnut crostini with balsamic fig glaze
  • Maple glazed bacon spears
  • Asparagus with blue cheese wrapped in phyllo dough
  • Cherry pepper bites with Manchego and salami
  • Roast beef, caramelized red onion on goat cheese toast
  • Mini meringue with fresh seasonal fruit and fresh whipped cream
  • Chef Richard’s famous chocolate truffles

Music will be provided by Porpoise of Ellensburg.

And finally, for the folks who want a little more excitement in their day, Flying M Air will be offering helicopter rides (weather permitting) from pond-side. The 10-minute rides will overfly Crescent Bar, the Columbia River, and the Quincy Lakes area for a bird’s eye view of the local landscape.

Pak-it-Rite Market Days are coming!

Pak it Rite is pleased to announce the first of many Public Markets days to take place outside the store on the corner of Second Street and Wenatchee Avenue.

 The Pak it Rite Public Market is scheduled for Saturday June 9, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

 It will feature a variety of local vendors including, but not limited to: metalwork, pottery, stonework, leather goods, jewelry, garden plants, organic skin care, and delicious baked goods.

 Wine tasting will take place in the store and feature Snowdrift Cider Co.

 All purchases at the June 9th Market will benefit New Life Adoptions of Wenatchee.

Additional Pak it Rite Public Markets are scheduled for July 14th, September 8th, and October 13th. Non-profit beneficiaries for July, September, and October will be announced in the coming weeks.

Ohme Wine & Food Gala: July 14


 

It's THE Garden Party of the summer in North Central Washington!  Enjoy wines from 14 Wenatchee Wine Country vintners, paired with gourmet food made by 15 top NCW chefs, using locally farmed food. This wonderful evening with live music from Pat/Rio is held at picturesque Ohme Gardens from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person if purchased before July 1; $60 is purchased after July 1.
